David A. Kvancz, M.S., R.Ph., FASHP, Senior Vice President, Visante, Inc. reviews and comments on NCPDP release of new white paper “Recommendations for Dose Accumulation Monitoring in the Inpatient Setting: Acetaminophen Case Model.”
The white paper, which is part of a series provides patient safety recommendations and guidelines on the accidental overdose of acetaminophen.
“Unintentional overdose in the inpatient setting is a patient safety issue that requires urgent attention,” explained David A. Kvancz, M.S., R.Ph., FASHP, Senior Vice President, Visante, Inc. and former senior health system executive and Chief Pharmacy Officer, most recently with Kaiser Permanente and The Cleveland Clinic.
