Jennifer Austin
Senior 340B Program Director, 340B ACE

Jennifer Austin (PharmD, 340B ACE) is a Senior 340B Program Director at Visante with twenty years of experience in hospital pharmacy. In her role as Pharmacy Manager for St. Joseph’s Hospital-North, BayCare Health System, Jennifer helped plan and design the pharmacy and patient care model from the earliest stages of facility planning. With the facility serving as a pilot site for the health system, she was an integral member of the team responsible for the assessment of and lead for implementation of several new technologies such as CPOE, BCMA, pharmacy automation technologies and an IV workflow management system.

Prior to assuming this role, she worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in critical care, Pharmacy Operations Coordinator and then Pharmacy Operations Manager at St. Joseph’s Hospital and St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, also in Tampa, Florida. In these roles, she introduced and implemented many pharmacy initiatives that led to major improvements in hospital services, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.

Jen is active in state and national organizations, having served on numerous committees and workgroups, most recently serving as Chair of the House of Delegates and Board Member for the Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is also a Faculty member and Technical Advisor for the ASHP Foundation’s Pharmacy Leadership Academy and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern, University of Florida and LECOM Bradenton colleges of pharmacy.

Jen is an Apexus Certified Expert (ACE) through the Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program. She is also a 2020 Sentry data systems certified consultant.

Jen earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University, graduating with honors, and then completed her pharmacy practice residency at the University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, Florida.
