Our Team

Javon Artis is a Director of Specialty Pharmacy at Visante where he leads strategy development and implementation of specialty pharmacy for our clients. His experience in specialty pharmacy is key to our clients' success at establishing and optimizing programs that deliver exceptional patient care while supporting the organization's financial goals. 

Javon supports clients by implementing national best practices within specialty pharmacy workstreams, achieving multiple specialty pharmacy accreditations, and evaluating and optimizing clinical and operational tasks within the specialty and prior authorization workflows.

Javon served as the Director of Specialty Pharmacy for the Houston Methodist Health System, where he designed and built a specialty pharmacy program from scratch. During his time with the organization, Javon implemented specialty pharmacy services across the enterprise and led the program's establishment and growth of financial, clinical, operational, contractual, and regulatory oversight. 

Javon earned his Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from Texas Southern University in Houston. He went on to complete a two-year health system pharmacy administration and leadership residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics. He also completed his MS in pharmacy administration at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is a member of the Health System Council for APhA and an adjunct professor at his alma mater.
